HIRING: Operations & Special Projects Manager

Position Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and mission-driven Operations & Special Projects Manager to support the smooth functioning of our day-to-day operations and lead key initiatives that help expand our impact. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, enjoys wearing many hats, and is passionate about animal welfare.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Management

Oversee and coordinate the daily administrative operations of the organizationMaintain organizational systems, including databases, calendars, and shared resourcesSupport financial record-keeping, budget tracking, and reporting in collaboration with the finance team

 

Special Projects & Program Support

Lead or coordinate special initiatives and events (e.g., community outreach, fundraising campaigns)Support the execution of grant-funded programs and ensure compliance with reporting requirementsAssist with marketing, communications, and social media in coordination with relevant team membersCoordinate volunteer scheduling and onboarding efforts

 

Community & Stakeholder Engagement

Serve as a point of contact for partners, donors, and community membersRepresent the organization at community events, meetings, and with stakeholders as neededAssist in developing and maintaining relationships with veterinary clinics, rescue organizations, and supporters

 

Qualifications:

Passion for animal welfare.2–4 years of experience in nonprofit operations, program coordination, or related rolesStrong organizational and time management skills; ability to prioritize multiple projectsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and/or Google Workspace; familiarity with donor or volunteer databases is a plusSelf-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaborativelyExperience with event planning or volunteer coordination is a plus

 

Work Environment:
This position may involve occasional weekend or evening hours for events or special projects. Some local travel may be required.

 

Compensation & Benefits:
Negotiable based on experience
